“He’s also not responsible for every piddly detail that may go wrong with someone’s health care. That’s equally absurd.”
Montrose;
I take it that that comment was directed at me. If you think a 10% increase in a senior citizen’s medigap insurance is a piddly detail, then there is nothing to discuss. Ditto for a 33% increase in my daughter’s premium.
Before I hit 65 I was paying $1200 per mnth for insurance – it was an HMO & the lowest I could find w/ any kind of decent coverage. I now have Empire Health Choice w/ Medicare & have had for 3 years. The coverage is far superior & costs me about $90 per mo. I am truly fortunate that the 4 hospital stays I’ve had recently were since turning 65. The G.P. I use is excellent & can fit me in in a matter of hours if needed.
Etson- ah. I never got into that because i think if you post and you say who you are, I have no reason to disbelieve it. Unless you call yourself something like “mental midget” or “big jugs.” 🙂
Dibs- I’m curious how good you think Palin would have been? Despite her short-lived governorship, and inability to keep to a timetable, answer interview questions or make up her mind if she is running? You’ve said many times she had “more experience” than Obama, yet she is a quitter. Doesn’t care about honoring her commitments and is basically a media whore. Her one big accomplishment of being elected governor she blew out the window.

“By your criteria, Isaiah Thomas would be qualified to be president, but JFK and Lincoln would not have been.”
Slopey, you always cut to the heart of the absurdity. You are awesome.

bxgrl, DIBS is only interested in discussing the hypothetical when it suits his argument. so don’t waste your time with Palin.
legion, i’ll think about those variables.

“Blaming the president for the performance of the economy is ridiculous.”
THANK YOU!
