Pete;
Reading comprehension is important sometimes. I did not “blame” health care reform, I predicted that the way things are working out is going to haunt President Obama.
pete,
The health insurance premiums have risen in direct response to the mandates to cover “children” to age 26.
Also in response to mandates for certain coverage items.
Make no mistake about it:
Obamacare = expensive care
…and don’t forget the other variables here,
Are they away from home for the first time?
Do they have “helicopter” parents?
Are they self -sufficient, self-starter types?
Good way to find out is if they are stinky.
If they can’t handle personal hygiene and laundry on their own, that’s a problem going away for college.
what is totally idiotic and moronic is trying to blame increase in health insurance on health-care reform. If you haven’t been awake and paying attention for last few decades — health costs/insurance have been far outpacing other rising prices. Since little of any of the minor reforms have even been instituted – any changes in law could have little to no effect.
Want to find something to blame – try the greediness of the insurance industry.
Now exactly how much % of our premiums go to actual health care and how much goes to ‘administrative costs’?

Thank you for the well-argued debate.

Then you can read the NPR story which actually tells the tale.

i know we are focused on who is president now but as slopefarm points out your criteria makes no sense.
