Scott- when I used to talk to my mom about dating, and instead of commiserating, she would always say “god, I’m so glad I didn’t have to deal with all that crap.” [she got married at 17]
bxgrl, wasnt me but a buddy of mine. he regrets it to this day that he didnt ask that girl out – ie believes that’s the great wife that got away. Poor dude. I didnt offer him any advice as he along with the other friend are both my good friends and I didn’t want to interject. Only said to him “you’re old enough to think this thru and make the right call”.
I was walking down a street in Irvington, from the Memorial Day Parade to a restaurant on the river.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something falling. I barely caught the last half second or so of two squirrels falling from a very high branch in a pine tree. They fell onto a driveway and made a loud noise when they hit the pavement. One of them got up and ran back up the tree. The other one never got up.

A SLIGHTLY DISTURBING THING HAPPENED YESTERDAY.

JB, marrying a YES-lady would be costly to me in many respects. am wise enough to know I need someone to keep me in check.
Man, this thread makes me glad I never spent much time in the traditional dating scene.
“has anyone been tempted / hoped that a friendship would dissolve so that one can feel guilt-free trying to date said friend’s ex gf?”
Er…..would that extend you a twin sister’s boyfriend? Ummmmmm….just asking.
“what if you encounter a chick who’s sorta cute but the crew she’s running with are all super ugly chicks?”
Dude, that’s like prime low self-esteem material right there!
“wife might be disappointed but I am very happy in accomplishing my “marry up” objectivesâ€
Dude, is it worth it just to “marry up?†Your wife treats you like a dish rag. You could’ve scored some nice FOB ass and lived like a king.
