  1. ENY – My early socialization was not in the US so there are things that may not pick-up on that other people find offensive.

I worked for an African American ad agency years back. We did Black and Latino marketing. One of the biggest issues we had were with sponsors sterotyping – trying to lump all Blacks or Latinos in the same mold without looking at socio-economic factors, country of origin, etc.

  2. It’s true Pete. The doctor told me today that my mouth is healing and looks beautiful. Jeez, I told him, whatever floats your boat. But I am still not eating real food and can’t drink and am afraid of people on the subway. Some dopey hipster elbowed me and hit me in my eyeglasses on the train (me getting up to get off the train and him swinging around and grabbing his phone and junk elbows me in the face. THAT is true terror. 🙁

  3. I was in Antigua most recently, and while I have family from there, it is not my favorite island, not by a long shot. Those people have attitude, which is like a bull and a red flag to a NYer like me. I can see myself pissing off some West Indian folks if I lived there.

I have yet to even enter the new stadium, believe it or not. But I am there in spirit. The Yanks are right on schedule. They rarely make their move until after the All-Star break. The first half of the season is really all about the front runners (i.e., Red Sox).

  4. Some of you would do pretty good if you caught the “cash cab”.

DH, card counting is not hard concept but you need to spend hundreds of hours practicing. The number additions of cards should be basically inprinted in your head and memorized to a point that it’s as easy as chewing gum and walking at the same time. I read a book about it and it’s just too much dedication and not everyone has a brain and processing capacity to handle it. I think I can find the book somewhere in my house if you’re interested to read into it….
