It is true. Although Pitbulls have the capability to do really serious damage (and were bred to be able to do that), the dogs that attack are usually mistreated. They either are not socialized to be around people, or are abused, poorly cared for, sick, and often not neutered.
I did not find the ad offensive. I saw the before and after as refering to the enlarged pictures of skin. I did not tune into the placement of the women.
