I’m just gonna sleep. I mean I know it’s a big deal and everything, and all that catastrophe will be fascinating, especially since it’ll be on CNN as it happens and all…but I need my beauty rest! : P

Which of course, happen every year. The tsunami of several years ago that wiped out parts of East Asia could have been taken as a date point. But then, a couple of years later, we had the horrible earthquake in Haiti, then two years later, the disasters in Japan. What do you do, keep changing the date around after each new catastrophe messes up your calculations? That alone would tell a rational person that calculating anything as important as the end of the world is patently impossible, faith or no faith.
The Rapture in the end of the world. It is the beinning of the end. During the raputure God will take up to heaven certain people. The Jehovah Witness believe the number to be 144,000.
The actual end date of the world according to the rapture folks is Oct 21. So, all you sinners do have some time left on earth.

I sincerely disagree with that, lech. Personally, I’m very happy to pay taxes, and when I have a little money to donate to charities.
I don’t always agree with how the tax money is used but I don’t go crazy about paying taxes like the rigid right seems to.”

Interestingly, the liberals I know are also the most generous people I know. They give to charity and spend a good deal of their non working hours doing community service.
