  1. Interestingly, there was no question and answer period. It is too early in the morning to go through in detail about what he had to say. But the interesting thing was his on the ground observations in the various Arab countries. What he had to say about Obama, the capture of Osama bin Laden, the Pakis KNOWING about Osama bin Laden, the cynical double dealing for funds from the US, that was the stuff that was sickening.

  2. If you rip the stuff in the middle out of an induction motor you’re left with a hollow space in which there is a strong rotating magnetic field when connected to the power. Throw in random stuff like nails and hilarity ensues.

  3. “benson has brought this subject up before. it’s really only the left wing liberal nutjobs who exhibit this profound hate for America.”

it’s really only the right wing nutjobs that exhibit profound hate for gays, blacks, mexicans and any other minority group that has escaped my mind at the moment.

  4. Tariq Ali, the Paki Brit leftist writer, historian, erstwhile activist etc. etc. talk about the Arab Spring. A very hip looking college student standing next to me asked me if I was OK. I was trying to stifle an urge to storm the stage. I don’t think I ever heard someone so hateful of the US. And all the self loathers in the audience. omg. I am glad I stayed though because he had some interesting first hand things to say about individual countries. OTOH, what he had to say about Pakistan and Al Queda in general was so cynical and hating of the US, it was crazy.

The self loathers of whom you speak are very commonplace among the liberals as well.

You should have called them out for what they are.

  5. evening was fine. didn’t take the kid to a peeler joint. instead we had drinks near grand central, took a train back to irvington, and spent several hours drinking and taking apart electrical induction motors and messing around with them

  6. I got the Pvt. Benjamin line. I am even on blog points right now after singing God Bless America.

    Had a trying commute today.

Last night I kept thinking of PLUSAs. I went to Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo to hear of all people, Tariq Ali, the Paki Brit leftist writer, historian, erstwhile activist etc. etc. talk about the Arab Spring.
