I like to have a steak every now and then at Capital Grille, but it is some kind of “scene”. I think Dave hit it on the head – the wannabes. Somebody here used it as his “office” and I would go with him sometimes to meet people but I really did not like the whole scene. Either long lunches or hanging around the bar. Not my thing. Big waste of money.
Legion – I have a picture cube that works that way. There’s a globe, too, that stays suspended between top & bottom & turns on an axis but it costs too much.

but you ride the A train. which i learned in a montrose thread yesterday used to be nicknamed the African Queen!!! I ride the R which could, theoretically be called the Riff-Raff Express

I never minded working in the FiDi, the commute was so nice. Sigh.

Really odd weather pattern – moving from the southeast. Here’s the Park Slope weather station.

DH, ‘jew hear that Mariska is bailing on SVU in the middle of next season? Bummer.
There appears to be some level of swagger the closer you get to the WFC, but I have not spent a lot of time in Midtown East for comparison.
Most of FiDi east of Broadway is kind of sad.
The much larger size of Midtown will ensure higher levels of amenities well into the future.
Also a lot of midtown ballers eat at the hotels…the Peninsula, the St Regis and others.
Used to be the old Le Cirque to.
