I dunno. If I were doing a date site, after all that I’ve read about oddballs (nh), I’d be a little chary of meeting in person until I’d sensed the guy’s bona fides.

Clearly, then, if she doesn’t want to meet strangers from the Internet, the OT is not the place for her, and she’ll never show up at a gathering.
But, yeah, DH, that’s what I was thinking.

DH, I see it as more of a time management thing and less of a sociopath prevention thing.

If it is clear that there is no interest, you can break things off then without an awkward wasted evening.
