  1. “If Kahn were a real socialist instead of SINO (socialist in name only) he wouldn’t have done this. More typical behavior of power-hungry capitalists.”

I wish folks on the left would get their story straight. Montrose says that his politics had nothing to do with it, and now Pete is telling us that true socialists would never do this.

    Which is it?

  2. The reason I point a finger at France is that he continued to be put into positions of power by the French political system long after it should have been clear that he was a violent and a predator.

If this was his first offense, my attitude would have been “oh shit, the guy cracked.”
As it stands, my attitude is “the system failed on several different levels by not stopping him”

  3. We should not consider the fact that this guy was widely known to be a sexual predator in France, and yet they chose to do nothing about it?

    Yeah, right.

The French are a disgrace. A once-great nation that continues to decline.

  4. it is part of the whole euro-mediterranean culture thinking they are sexually liberated but in actuality very much stuck in a machismo mindset. All those old-fart fat baldy guys think women should be attracted to them and such.

  5. “I think that his behavior would not have been accepted in the U.S. political arena over the last couple of decades.”

Regretfully disagree. Might have been called out, but I give the odds at an optimistic 50/50.
