Finally, it was a pretty good bet that a fistfight would break out at a party or family get-together as a result of people having too much to drink. My grandfather used to do a lot of entertaining, so I guess it made sense. At family gatherings, it is now the place where the younger crowd (those of us under 45) hangs out.
