  1. because my roommate walks him once or twice a day and feeds him in the morning. i walk him once or twice a day, and he has a dog walker during the day. he also sleeps with my roommate and his boyfriend. (truth be told,im not a fan of laying with dogs…you know how the old saying goes). not many people would be cool with me moving in and my pitbull jumping in their bed the first night. (that’s exactly what happened in my current situation and it turned out to be okay! hahah). park slope is also pretty clean on the street. i cant tell you how many times i had to dislodge bones from his mouth when i lived in crappy neighborhoods. also people put great shit out for free!!

All really good reasons not to move.

  2. Years ago I went to an art installation in LIC and walking there, I was intrigued, now that I think about it.

The Times reported on it and I’m in the slide show. My then-girlfriend announced this at a party and her roommate was mightily impressed I had my photo in the Times.

Sunday after chess at lunch my date and I passed this roommate on the street.

    Interconnectedness of human beings.

Why? Are the trees that he pisses on better in Park Slope???

  4. There is a part of Staten Island right near the boardwark (South Beach) where they built these attached townhouses, I am assuming for condos during the boom. They are now being rented and they are big duplexes, two bedroom, huge bay windows, nice kitchens, nice hardwood floors (not like the #2 patchwork floors you see in these shabby Brooklyn condos) floors and about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and 2 minutes on a bike. You need a car over there and would take either a train to ferry or express bus to Manhattan. Not far from the Verazzano. 1700 dollars.

  5. I like Jackson Heights and the Eastern part of Astoria (east of Steinway)

LIC seems too infiltrated with midtown office workers. It’s a big neighborhood though and I haven’t done much exploring outside of the area off Vernon-Jackson and the area around PS1.
