I’ll be happy if they just work out an intelligent signage system so you don’t get lost for an hour trying to find the 4/5 from the A, or the 2/3 from the C.
Probably what will happen with Fulton is that suddenly it will come together; the fake staircases will come down, the new platforms will be laid, they will fix the water, paint, put in new light fixtures, remove all the blue plywood and it will be a place where humans feel comfortable — like Jay Street. I hope.
jessi, frontage usually refers to the linear footage of a property to a road or sidewalk. Usually more important in the country where property is in acres and ‘frontage’ important.
Fulton is certainly one of the nastier stations in the city right now, although it serves as a good excuse for me to work from home since it is the closet to my office.
I have had a number of frottage incidents on the NYC subway but I don’t remember them with such fondness as dibs. One, I recall, resulted in a black eye and a visit to the 14th St poice station, then Cabrini hospital.
(I guess I expressed my displeasure too loudly to the wrong guy, who after sharing his family jewels with me, then punched me in the eye, giving me a shiner).

Fulton will certainly be much nicer when finished, but I still can’t believe it is taking 8 years and 1.3 billion dollars to add nicer passageways.
(yes, I know there is more to the project than that, but once finished there will be zero additional train capacity through the station)

I can’t recommend Oshima more highly. Went there last night. they know us well and Xing talks and jokes with the owner and sushi chefs in Fukinese.
We had 2 free dishes and every time we order 4 pieces of sushi we get 5 and the pieces are incredibly large!!
The owner and waiters are very friendly and he talks to what appear to be his regular customers quite a bit
rob, how was your vacation?????
Hi *rob*.
