  1. bfarwell, we took one of MM’s cats to get fixed and they put a cone on him. It was notched and then tied at the neck with some sort of string. When the cat cam awake it freaked big time. Luckily we had it on a big cage but he was so frantic i thought he would brain himself on the bars. I had to reach in and grab him and cut the collar off. He is not a very tame cat either so I was sure my arm would be ripped off but it was that or watch him kill himself. Finally got it cut off. Luckily no injuries to me or him.

  2. In my case, the stitched up cat couldn’t get to his stitches, but the other cat I had could and saw the illness as an oppotunity to become numbero uno — she literally tried to finish him off. I had to separate them until sick guy healed and recovered. I had to remind myself that they are ANIMALS.

  3. “Basically in the world we live in, it is my opinion that a hard-working, creative geek with a personality can rule the world.”

    haha,
That seems to describe a large number of billionaires these days!

  4. There are also those of us who don’t particularly care to do what is needed to guarantee popular success. I hate gladhanding, and am willing to see if luck will get me fame, rather than working in that way for it.

Of course, choosing to be an artist is a fairly goofy decision to begin with – I feel pretty comfortable that I could have done a wide range of extremely well-compensated things when I got out of college, but they didn’t sound like fun at all.

So not all lack of ‘success’ is unintentional. If that makes any sense.
