Um – so is anyone shelling out the $3.75 per week now to pay for NY Times online?
I used to read it every day on my iphone and while at home online when it was free – but now that it costs $15/month – not so sure now……
I understand the theory that if you increase taxes on the rich, this will stop innovation and the creation of new business. I’m sure this applies to some. Do you think it would be possible to just raise taxes on the rich people that would never use the money to create anything – like some trader or banker who gets a big bonus, they’re just keeping that and not using it to start a business.
“If I’m not mistaken, Obama is in charge and that’s where the buck stops. ”
“If not, it’s not that material, and just a diversion.”
Obama is President, not Emperor. Please read up on our system of government so you understand how it really works. Not for nothing but he has tried to work across party lines to little or no avail.
And yes, Etson- it is material because it shows the hypocrisy of Boehner et al complaining about spending, yet will to do so to push their own social conservative agenda.
my biggest problem is that all the spending cuts are not in areas that have seen the biggest increases. i’m pretty indifferent about the tax cuts, but if we’ve seen the biggest increase in defense, cut defense. don’t cut old people’s medicare, or take away other important stuff from the american people.
any candidate that comes out, is honest about WHERE there is excess spending and proposes cuts in those areas will get my vote no matter what their party affiliation is.
Oooh, Gem – do you want to pool funds and share an account? I think you can have a few email addresses on one account…lemme look it up.
I agree with DH!!!!

“I kind of like being called a bimbo”
As always, my Puma, your wish is my command.

Then he needs to try harder. Simple.
“and if repubs can’t articulate why screwing old people out of their medicare”
Typical of the shrill talk out of Democrats. Always fast & loose with the facts and details.
I kind of like being called a bimbo; the implication is they’re commenting on my body, not my mind – it’s a welcome change.
