Except for Goyim Nuts, I’ve never heard that nuts were not Kosher for Passover. In fact, my grandmother always had bowls of mixed nuts out at her house.

There are also monetary policy reasons for other countries to hold U.S. Treasuries.

I would guess that China has held U.S. Treasuries at least since the breakdown of Bretton Woods in 1971, and very likely before then.
