I just can’t believe laptops are so cheap now. My wife has been complaining (rightly) that the computer is dying for a while and I kept rolling my eyes like “ugh we just bought a freaking house! just keep using the damn thing!” and now it turns out it costs about 1/3 as much as I assumed.

Actually that whole conversation was one I was having with myself, come to think of it. I don’t think the other guys thought it was as funny as I did.
The only other reason to hold it would be to cash in when someone else comes in with an offer to buy the country.
Once again, something I don’t see happening.
My favorite laptops cost $20 each.

Yes, prices have really come down, watch for sales also. HP and Dell, the best for your needs.
lech, have a hp pavillion with 4gb, cost about $550. Fine machine.

My wife has a Gateway laptop we bought for $700 or so about 13 months ago, and she loves it.
