It clearly shows the tunnel exiting the far end of the Tunnel and the Brooklyn Bridge in the background.
Kudos to the NY Post for putting the spotlight on another slimeball politician, in this case someone I happen to know: Peter Abbate, an assemblyman who represents Bensonhurst/Dyker Heights. This man is a complete lapdog for the municipal unions. About 4 years ago the NY Sun ran a piece on him in which they demonstrated that much of his legislation was written by the unions themselves, and turned over to him to submit to the legislature. In the Sun piece, he freely admitted this fact, and was not bothered by it at all.
In the recent case, the Post found that he tried to attach riders to legislation to further sweeten pensions for an array of municipal and state workers. The cost of these sweeteners would have been $1B, at a time when NYS had a budget gap of $19B. Thankfully, Governor Cuomo said that he will veto this legislation, after the NYP brought it to light.
I was once on the campaign staff of a person who ran against this slimeball. Unfortunately, we lost.
