benson,
The author of A Tree Grows In Brooklyn
wrote that book in a big old Victorian house in
Woodhaven,Queens. It’ right off of Forest Park
and there’s a plaque in front of the house put
there by the historical society.
Maybe I’ll snap a photo of it and post it here.
Even though nobody thought the Houdini Grave Site
photo was anything special when I posted it. :o(
Great idea! Thanks, benson. So we’ll do it next Friday? You’ll be there to treat us?
The Democratic Lunch Club is waiting for the RMLC to agree to pay for its tab.
😉
That devil nut is amazing! Haven’t ever seen one. Cannot find a photo of the plant it comes from.
The Democrats really need to get a Downtown lunch together.
Being a typical Democrat, it will sit back and complain about it not having happened yet, waiting for someone else to do the work.
dave, that’s Sinatra, not a show tune. So, epic fail on the GOTD.
Thanks Arkady,
I will snap a photo of the Betty Smith house and post it here.
Legion – It was a nice photo but I’d seen the grave itself long ago. Surprising how many people hadn’t known about him.
Here’s a photo of the DEVILNUT invasive aquatic seed pod
I was talking about.
It looks like something Pazuzu might have spawned.
