I’m more of an agnostic but i agree with you Scott. I don’t have any great desire to read about why or why I shouldn’t have faith. I think faith or the lack thereof is not an argument you win with words. It’s an emotional and intellectual decision you come to.
I co-taught a class on them at my nonprofit but I sort of forget; I think it was something to do with the history of wars etc. in religious names. We tried to get him to come speak but his fee was prohibitively large. Sam Harris grew up in Brooklyn Heights, he said.
