Do they still have Shoot The Freak at Coney Island?
Biff, that thing made me crazy. I suggest that they have a summer of shoot the owner. That mofo. In fact I think that is what I loudly suggested to the barker, who I believe was the “owner”. Creep.
M4L- Yeah, I guess I was assuming that liveability was just new roof and plumbing/wiring/sheetrock, and then worrying about the facade a little bit later once you can actually use the place.
It has a revenue problem, as in rich people and the BIGGEST FREAKIN COMPANY IN AMERICA don’t pay any taxes.
But hey, lets go after unions and poor people. That’s awesome.
FAIL
Check the facts. Rich people pay far more taxes than poor and middle class. Top 5% earners pay something like 65% of the revenue the gov’t collects in taxes.
Basically, I like it too, Benson. Often it is connected with industry conferences with presentations, lunches and parties. I like that stuff too. The booth babe thing is fun if you have a good partner who can share the hard stuff and then you let one another do different things (i.e. wander around and see competitors etc. grab clients for a lunch etc.)
You should be aware that BOTH federal REVNUE and spending as a percentage of the GDP is at its highest peacetime level. The only time it has been higher is during WWII.

“What is the cost to a state when a long-term unemployed person decides to move to another state for a job?”
Ask detroit.

So, BedstyMaven, the LPC rules are just suggestions.

“I live on a landmarked block and I have yet to have any interventionist action from the LPC”
LPC does not have a policing unit. Interventionist action happens when one neighbor rats out another.
