  1. “Yeah, cause that cataract procedure isn’t cheap but both of my parents had it and are so happy they did. It’s like a miracle not needing glasses or contacts to see.”

The doc is trying to talk me into getting lasix (sp?) surgery at the same time. I’ve never NOT had to wear glasses/contacts…can’t imagine waking up and being able to SEE!

  2. Bxgrl, yes, he does the cleaning on the premises. Something definately went wrong with the chemicals. I am not sure what exactly but the maroonish jacket (as an artist you will appreciate the details on color….it was reddish brown/espresso, some white lines and then thin lines of gold thread). Sounds sort of loud but it wasn’t, it was cool. Anway, all the color leeched out of the jacket and it became black! It is possible that he did reuse it too many times.

  3. I know about dry cleaners cause I used to work for an insurance agency and we insured a majority of the ones in philly, the jews used to run them all before they sold to the next round of immigrants.

  4. I suppose the dirty street problem could be worse.
Most people in NYC these days adhere to the pooper scooper laws.
    It wasn’t always like that.
There used to be this show in Manhattan, geared towards tourists, called : The New York Experience.

I went to it on a class trip and it was this giant three screen visual spectacular about NYC and it’s neighborhoods and it even had some kind of mist spray on the audience.
One scene I remember vividly was a lady stepping on dog poo near Central Park and saying something like:
“…if I step on one more piece of dog crap, I’m going nuts!”
The poop piled around Central Park was legendary.

  5. Cool, Cobble. Yeah, cause that cataract procedure isn’t cheap but both of my parents had it and are so happy they did. It’s like a miracle not needing glasses or contacts to see. My mom still isn’t used to it.
