She was — she got involved after her close friend Rock Hudson was diagnosed.
And, yes, she was great in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”.
I wonder how many pre-written obits the NY Times has so they’re ready to go to press right away with it when someone famous dies.

Yes, massive props to her for that. I think she was one of the earliest celebrities to support AIDS sufferers and bring a lot of attention to the cause from main street America.
i never recommend people move to brooklyn. if you’re a rich baller, move to manhattan – if you want cheap rent, move to queens. i’m not really sure why i like brooklyn so much.
