I never said there are no tofu humpers in Irvington. In fact I think I said that when tofu humpers move to Westchester they tend to move to the river towns, but that’s ok because even though I bust on them constantly they are kind of my people. I’m like a self-hating jew, except that instead of coming from jews I come from tofu humpers.
i thought you said there were no tofu humpers in irvington? a quick search of the citydata message boards say otherwise lol

Cool green/hippy towns in Westchester?
——————————————————————————–
My husband and I are hoping to leave Brooklyn to live somewhere in Westchester/CT/NJ/LI that is commuting distance to NYC. I grew up in Woodstock and would like to find a town with an artsy/hippy feel that is close to the city and not crazy expensive. Does such a place exist? We are also planning to have a family soon and want to live somewhere with good schools and nature/beaches nearby. Any help would be so appreciated.
DIBS, the property at S. Ferris is in a really great location. Our friends looked at it recently. It’s currently owned by a couple of gays so of course it’s in immaculate condition.

Gem, recessed lighting is considered very déclassé here on Brownstoner.
It was back when I was in school. Guess the family deeded it to the state.

Hi, I’m looking for midwives and any suggestions for hospitals that are midwife friendly in Irvington and Hastings on Hudson areas. Thank you!
