Denton, that’s pretty cool! I heard the state troopers are smart though and they shut off their radars while waiting and turn them on as soon as the see a car speeding so it doesn’t give enough time for the radar detector to react before you slam on the breaks.
b) engaging in destructive behavior: dropping out of high school, having out-of-wedlock kids and indulging yourself in consumption?”
benson, one could make the argument that (b) is a result of (a) no jobs and no hope in the cities. When I grew up jobs all over in bakeries, breweries, waterfront, etc. All gone now.
Excuse me benson, but what about dropping out of high school is self-destructive? Dropping out of high school was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Mrs. D and I are planning a two week driving tour of the Southeast in May to maybe check out possible future domiciles. So, altho I’ve done without one for quite a while, I’ve decided it’s time for a new radar/laser detector.
I got a Passport 9500ix and it’s really cool, almost as cool as a cruise missile. In addition to the usual detection stuff, it has a built in database of all the red light cameras and fixed speed cameras in the country. It uses GPS as you drive, and when you come up on a red light cam, it tells you. Also, if you drive the same route every day, it makes note of all the false X band and K band garage door/burglar alarms, and shuts off the alarms for them in the future.
I found two more red light cams on 4th Ave I didn’t even know existed.
Then you hook it up to your PC and it uploads the data of anything new, and it downloads new redlight cams other people have marked.

Wait. Stop the presses. Everyone freeze.
*Rob* is trolling the NY Times real estate section for listings for houses in Irvington???
“BSM, was Boy Toy with you when you & I did that super brief intro & good bye last time?”
No, he was not.

This part confuzzed me. What does that mean?

Benson, no room for cause and effect?
Howdy BSM 🙂
