  1. Much better, CGar. She was knocked out pretty hard on moving day (Friday). She’s feeling much better. The miracle of antibiotics.

There are gigantic snowflakes falling in midtown. They’re like mini snowballs.

  2. It’s restaurant week in the river towns. The Mrs and I went to Red Hat last night. They serve a very competent martini. Dinner was delicious (especially my starter; a potato gratin with goat cheese and watercress). The rooftop bar, which overlooks the river and has a view of the city, should open soon.

  3. lech – It’s an alpine strawberry & sends out runners. You can put it in a niche of a stone wall, directly in the ground, in a pot, etc. It’s almost impossible to kill so it’ll be happy anywhere but the berries are sweeter if it’s in bright sun.

  4. quote:
The neighbors have been very welcoming.
(that’s called being nosey and all up in your business)

They all keep bringing over baked goods and introducing themselves.
(they are scoping out what you own. again it’s calling being nosey)

Everyone on our street has lived there for at least 10 years. Most have lived there much longer than that.
(1/2 of them are upside down on their mortgages)

There is a block party in the spring.
(hopefully they aren’t as lame as the ones in park slope where it’s one random child peddling around in the street on a 6000 doller wooden bicycle)

There is a neighborhood email list.
    (nosey)

There are lots of kids on our street who all play with each other.
(i think youre making this one up)

    *rob*

  5. Thanks Arkady. My folks are down from Vermont to help with these few days. We’re trying to decide where to plant your strawberry. My stepmom has lots of strawberries back in VT and has a few ideas about where they should go.
