  1. Thanks Dona. I think we’ll go to the Air and Space Museum, since it’s the most famous and suggested museum for kids, despite my disdain for the space program. We’ll do a walk by of everything else – no tours. We tried getting tickets for the White House tour except one needs at least a month’s advance notice now. I recall the Holocaust Museum being incredibly moving, but I think the Champs are too young to fully understand / appreciate it.

  2. What HAPPENED to your car, ET? Damaged?

Bayridge has good car services. I used to use one on 86th Street (south side of 86th Street and 4th). I remember them being cheap and the guys were nice. The N and R train are annoying enough, but with a baby and no car….you need to use cabs sometimes…..

  3. Tks, Bxgrl. I love red lipstick.

Biff, I think you have boys…not that girls wouldn’t love this, but the Air and Space Museum is really fun for kids.
I think the Capitol would be fun for them too.

ET, I am sympathetic. Certain places in Brooklyn are tough without cars. I lived in Brooklyn Heights for 16 years – no car. It WAS a hassle to visit family in Staten Island, but I did it somehow. But where I am now? I need to lug stuff for the building and the retail is so bad in walking distance, it is hard to imagine life here without a car. (Also I admit to being afraid to the night life around the C train i.e. post midnight. To go to the opera? I used to come home to Brooklyn Heights at any time, no second thought. Where I am now? No way in hell. So…..it’s car or cabs for Manhattan night life)

  4. Thanks CGar. Given we have less than two days, Arlington is out for this trip. Probably only time for one museum and then running around to see the various monuments / memorials / White House.
