hhhhmmm, maybe there’s a benefit to not having a car.
Great opportunity to make them plan their own outings and invite you and drive you and cook for you. You have a baby! When they get used to catering to you, quietly buy a used car and don’t tell them (hee hee).
Car is old and has issues and not running….just like it’s owner 🙂
Getting around NYC is no problem. um, we have the train.
My husband’s entire family lives outside NYC. Getting to them is gonna be a pain and less frequent…….hhhhmmm, maybe there’s a benefit to not having a car.
Biff, my neice did her undergraduate degree from George Washington University in DC and family from far and wide met in DC for the graduation. We had fun running around seeing all the historical places…..one unexpectedly interesting place was the National Library.
Personally, I love the Sackler galleries (Asian and African art) but maybe not so great for kids. Also, the American History museum is very interesting and I think they would like that.
Biff, hope you aint going down via the chinatown tour bus
Biff, I would skip the walk-by of the White House and use the time and energy to see the Lincoln, Jefferson, and FDR monuments.

I refuse to spend time shopping on vacation so there’s no way I’m taking The Champs to the National Mall.

Biff, the other memorial to see is the FDR Memorial, which is close to the Tidal Basin and the National Mall.
