  1. “Continuing a Brownstoner tradition of childless gay men commenting on parenting issues, Pete commented on the thread.”

An objective, independent and non conflicted opinion is often the best.

  2. Red Apple is very efficient (i.e., they have access to a (ahem!) very low-priced labor force for the scutwork). Way back when my kid was 3.5, it was a lot cheaper than other daycares I checked out. But even then, they set their fees according to the rent they were paying. Because “Chinese” is considered very cool these days and they say they have Mandarin classes for the kids, I imagine a lot of white families will check it out.

  3. oh, geez. Memory stick. getting real technical. Then I’d have to figure out how to play on computer.
Maybe just go place cobble mentioned and they put on the stick..Then if get more pics have some friend put more on.

  4. Dave, I asked someone at the bank today and he told me just keep the check until it clears. There are problems though. I tried to deposit a refund check from my insurance company using the check scanning technology that Chase has at the ATM. The ink on printer they used for the check was so faint that the machine couldn’t read anything. I had to bring it inside to the branch to deposit it the old fashioned way. I imagine the same thing would happen with an iphone. Also, my tenants give me checks with illegible handwriting. All the time. It’s amazing. Young people with palsied script. The ATM can’t scan it, so I have to manually enter the dollar amounts. I don’t know what would happen in that case with the iphone. Maybe the same thing.
