Plus “homework” = keep a very heavy textbook on the table and a notebook on her lap while she texts on her phone and Facebook chats with 6 or 7 of her favorite friends while watching TV and something on youtube.

but yeah – high school is pretty wack, if only because it’s so inconsistent from town to town, city to city.
pretty sure i was better prepared for college after the 9th grade than the average NYC public school kid was after 4 (or more) years in the system.
