Snappy, this isn’t like normal “not working” this “not working” is like a club. I know SOOOOO many people that aren’t working. It’s got nothing to do with being lazy or not ambitious or for that matter prideful. It’s boils down to almost every company is either laying people off or has a hiring freeze. Yes, there are some jobs out there but the number of highly educated people competing for those jobs is astronomical.
I’m not saying that to make you feel bad I’m saying that so that you understand that it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s just the way it is right now.
Sometimes, when I visit my client in the West Village, I’ll stop at Murry’s Cheese and get a really good piece of cheese, sundried tomatoes, proscuitto di Parma, and a fresh baguette from Amy’s, a good bottle of red, and the ST and I will feast. Simple and delicious.
Haven’t done it lately, as all that deliciousness ain’t cheap, although it lasts a couple of days. The good life certainly is more expensive than a box of Hamburger Helper.
NOT TRUE SNAPPY! I met my husband when I was unemployed. He used to leave me in his apt. all day while he was at work with his cats. Come to think of it, he’s not too bright is he?
One of my best dishes is my seven layer spinach lasagna that includes feta, fresh mozzerella, sharp cheddar and provolone cheeses (I hate ricotta and refuse to use it). It’s a cheese lover’s delight 🙂

No one can fault you for it.

He works with his cats???
I just feel so, so, icky not working. I can’t hit on women properly without a job!
I’ve had a few with some that are illegally employed and boy are they hot.
Ha!

When it’s right it’s right.
