  1. I’ve applied for several jobs that are below my experience level and I keep being told, “You’re over qualified” and “We can’t give you the job because we know you’ll be out the door as soon as something ‘real’ comes along for you.” $*$Y!!**

  2. “Biff, yesterday I was inquiring as to your dating status. I was told that you’d divulged it recently but I’d missed the post.”

    My dating status? Are these the options?

    * Dating
    * Not dating

  3. Yeah, Snappy. What THL said. For the first time in my adult life, I can schedule meetings and appointments with friends and colleagues during the day. There are so many qualified, educated people not working in the traditional 9-5 mode right now. They are either looking for that kind of job, or, like me, are freelancing at whatever can keep the wolf from the door. I’m enjoying not competing with the rest of Brooklyn to get on the subway in the morning, but I do miss a regular paycheck and health insurance. You are not alone.

  4. I’m sad not working 🙁 I’m one of those people who thrive on structure. I know there is a serious lack of jobs out there. I feel like 9million people are competing for the same 100 jobs and the chances, no matter how smart I am or how good I am, my chances are miniscule. That’s why I was trying to find a cheap resume counselor/career advisor. Argh.
