  2. I would call Vernon, CA a feudal kingdom created by corporate interests. It certainly is not an example of any typical government. LA county has a few other similar cities that were incorporated as havens for business away from the pesky requirements of citizens.

    There’s no such thing as a “job for life.” Unless of course you mean the “serial CEOs” who always seem to always land with some company regardless of their success of lack of such at the previous stop.

    Instead, what many employees seek is some manner of representation. Many have found unions to be an effective option.
