  1. so it really doesn’t bother you that some people out there are suffering through no fault of their own?

I never said that. we have a government that spends trillions of dollars a year. You’d think they could spend some of it efficiently to help those who can’t help themselves but thay can’t. Why should I pay more money when the government hasn’t shown they can spend what they have efficiently.

    Argue with that.

  2. these revolts in the mid east really got me thinking – we obviously couldn’t have a similar style revolution here.

what could we do? what if everyone stopped paying all their debt for a prolonged period of time and took all their liquid funds out of banks? what would happen?

  3. I can’t wait until I retire because I’ll structure my deductions and my spending so that I will pay virtually NO taxes on my income.

Given the opportunity that has just presented itself in federal tax free municipal funds, I’m buying a lot more of these…even in my nontaxable IRA!!!!

  4. “I think you just figured out the answer of why people with more money have it. Congrats.”

    hahahaha.

so it really doesn’t bother you that some people out there are suffering through no fault of their own?

you’re wealthy because you’re better, and those that aren’t didn’t do something right, and don’t deserve anything?

  5. One glaring thing missing in this spending debate is the cost in terms of human lives paid as a result of the military invasions during the Bush II years, on which no amount of money can be placed.

  6. for folks asking for higher taxes, are you saying current taxes are pretty low hence not much to complain about hiking it? I aint making top tax bracket income and I already pay a lot in taxes.
