I can’t believe I actually went and listened to that, randi. Technically it sounds more like a chirrup, not a purr. And i was expecting a full throated yowl meow- such as my cat Moose has. So loud I can hear it with my hearing aid turned off. Try again randi.
“This is true! My comments are prospective having in the past found out stuff that people tried to keep a secret from me. But yeah, would I rather know the truth or be ignorant and not aware that people are laughing at me. I guess it depends what it is and how much time is invested and it seems hard to choose ignorance”
So lies have consequences, even if well intentioned. If people lining up to see the Mona Lisa know it may be a fake, they probably won’t walk away with as much reverence for it. If they don’t know about the switcheroo then they might live their lives inspired by a great work only to be told on their deathbed that it was a lie and curse humanity for its deceit, thereby setting in motion a chain of events in which that person’s descendents swear an oath to do away with our entire species of liars.
…okay, I’m overstating the case but it’s something like that. :o(
Kens, Dunkin Donuts has actually gotten into the gourmet coffee business. Or they think they have. They are marketing themselves this way. A cup of regular coffee there is more expensive than Starbucks!
“Besides which, if you notice, they are not classifying the protesters by their political affiliation- because many of them are also republicans.”
I do not know about the protesters on the ground, but 100% of my friends on facebook who are doing their virtual protest thing are liberal democrats.
The legislative situation there also seems to be right down party lines.
“I find it funny that when a mass of angry white protestors descend upon the capital with banners in hand, microphones shouting rehearsed chants and demanding that the government listen,
they are considered activists in the major liberal media.
If they are republicans doing the same thing,
they are a bunch of racists.”
That’s ridiculous. And totally off point for this particular issue. If they shouted racist comments about the President, they would be labeled racist too.

I feel like we should all be stoned to the bejeesus when we’re talking about perception and truth and stuff.
“What makes a bunch of union members brought in for a rally different from a corp hiring lobbyists?”:
Good question.
(And please stop yelling at me)
