  1. I’ve been married for over 15 years and it has not always been easy. At one point we even separated for 3 weeks.

    I know that there are no guarantees in life but I hope I know my wife and myself enough to be able to say that we will always be civil to each other no matter what happens.

  2. Re, old New York accents, I LOVE them. The accent here has changed. The old goil for girl, dipthong switcheroo is all but gone but when I hear them I feel great. I think there is an identifiable cadence to the speech of New Yorker Italian Americans, which I really like. I like too that many say electrizzity (not electricity))

  3. Biff;

    John Gotti grew up in ENY.

    My marriage has improved since I’ve joined the OT. I get out my inner-bloviater here, and then I can go home and whisper sweet nothings to my wife. If I were Mr. B., I would promote the OT as a marital aid.

  4. I’m sure no good can come out of me comparing Benson to John Gotti Jr., but I saw JGJ interviewed on 60 minutes last Sunday and, even though I believe he grew up in Queens, to me his accent sounded very similar to Benson’s. I love listening to old school New York accents.

  5. I remember reading that Donald Trump sent roses to Ivana, on the day of his marriage to the 2nd wife. He did acknowledge that she had some pain over this. She kept her children away from that wedding. Maybe they went to Aspen.

    Now we read the papers that they attend each others weddings, etc. He did some PR with her, it sounds like. (Not relating this to DCB situation, btw, just commenting).

    Congrats to Denton and Benson and their positive marriages. So DH, there is hope.
