  1. Jessi, most kids are ready at sometime between 2.5 and 3.5. Some people do it earlier but in most cases the parent is trained, not the child :), that is, lots of taking the kid to sit on the potty, lots of changing clothes after accidents. When I was a kid, pre-disposable-diapers, kids were “trained” earlier but that’s because the diapers were such a hassle that it was worth the hassle to tolerate many trips to the bathroom and many accidents.

  2. “Hopefully you didn’t tell your new church pals that y’all are a bunch of swingers 😉 ”

Actually, our church was pretty liberal and some of our better friends there knew, although did not exactly advertise.

Both of the same sex marriages I attended were in the church with friends we met there.

  3. My son had a hard time getting potty trained.
We started trying when he was around 18 months, but it never really worked.

Around the time he turned 3, we put him in a new day care and they trained him in about 2 weeks. I’m not sure I want to know what they did to him, but it worked and within a month or so we had no more use for diapers.

Hopefully you didn’t tell your new church pals that y’all are a bunch of swingers 😉
