I’ve been reading over the last several years that many consumer products companies have been reducing sizes while keeping prices constant.
On a related note, this is also apparently one of the success secrets of dollar stores – offer up smaller amounts of products.
The chain “99 cents only” has better margins than Wal-Mart.
denton – Before you stick w/ that resolution, HD is $1.85 for 14 oz this week at Fairway! Oops, or was it Pathmark. You can see their specials on line.
ROTFLMAO! great joke, dibs 😀
HAhahaha….Dibs, I know some people who would appreciate that.
DIBS, great one. Thanks.
DIBS, I know and I’m disappointed as wilpons are idiots with no guts no vision. Mark Cuban would juice the club and turn it around
“Her conscience got the best of her and she added, “plus, he’s screwing me.” “He certainly is,” replied the captain, “this is the Staten Island Ferry”
RAOTFLMMFAO!!!!! Thanks, dave, I really needed that!
(Were it not for my firm’s strict anti-profanity policy, I’d forward this joke around)

Less product: yes, this looks like inflation without raising the prices too much – yet.
But it’s been true of HD for well over a month.
