for anyone who wants to protest the deodorant company’s reducing of product and raising price you can get a giant bag of potpourri flakes at the dollar store which you can glue to your underarms (they have to be shaved tho) with fake eyelash glue.

Only to point out that, like most things in life,
the truth usually lies somewhere in between.
The Church and other religious institutions have one stance,
The Liberal establishment has another.
Beating ourselves over the head each time one side reveals a flaw gets us no closer to a responsible discussion and resolution.

Benson, what does this have to do with the formerly Roman Catholic hospital in Phoenix?
Certainly the doctor in Philadelphia is an odious person who took advantage of his desperate clientele including many immigrants who paid full price for his deadly services. I read about him in the NY Times.
Legion – I’ve seen that news & it is horrifying but I don’t see that it undermines bxgrl’s stance at all. No one would endorse what that monster of a doctor has done & it isn’t part of anyone’s agenda.

When I was in Cooper, we had a professor who was a ball-buster with regard to calculations. One day he significantly downgraded a guy’s work because he got a negative sign wrong, even though all his other calculations were correct. The student protested, saying something like “I only got a negative sign wrong”. The professor said “I’ll take this up at the next session”.
The next session comes, and he has a film ready to show us. It is a film of a new middle system being tested by the army. They launch the missle, it shoots ahead, and then after a while it turns around and lands at the launch point.
The professor said, in a dry manner: “The engineer for this system had an incorrect negative sign”.
The issue was closed.

RF- i read about that several months ago. Sister Margaret is my hero, as is the Board of St. Joseph’s. The Bishop telling the hospital they could not abort a pregnancy to save the life of the mother is tantamount to murdering her. It puts doctors in violation of their Hippocratic oath flies in the face of the morals and ethics of civilized society. How do people like that get into power?- I’m a better Christian than he is and I’m a Jew.

Your militant/take no prisoners stance on abortion requires a strong and reasoned response, especially when you seek to undermine people’s religious beliefs based on a moralistic attitude.
Please check out the following link and keep in mind that I have stated that I am actually for a woman’s right to choose within the first and second trimesters. The reality is that there are clinics out there that treat patients like experiments and the fetuses inside them even worse.
This doctor was delivering babies live and this is in the USA.
