legion- No one forces you to have an abortion when you have the right to choose, But The RC church is trying to force its religious beliefs on the rest of us. No one thinks abortion is good- but the issue is who has the right to control a woman’s body. And in the case of St. Joseph’s, both the medical staff and Sister Margaret told the Bishop the woman’s life was in danger.
How does this have anything to do with the abortion debate? Well, most people who don’t believe in abortion, do believe in it to save the life of the mother (in this case the mother of 4 children).
So it isn’t me or RF or Arkady who have the take no prisoners stance- it’s the Bishop, and the RC hierarchy who feel their religious beliefs should trump both our beliefs and our political system.
And no one disagrees the doctor in Pa is a monster. When you remove a late stage viable child and kill it- that’s not abortion- it’s murder.

my line of reasoning is simple,
all or nothing advocates don’t have a problem with
late term abortions.
And they are quick to state that they are rare.
They are not.
