Actually, I’m beginning to suspect jackal is kin to Uncle Fester. Recently watched an episode with my kid in which Fester was ill and unable to produce electricity. Doc came and took his temp and it was -4 degeres. Ultimately Fester was cured by mercury after swallowing thermometer. Oh, and similar hair.
Of course, someone will have to explain the reference to jackal.
“The whole art collecting world is just a bunch of fart sniffing.”
Uhm, lech. You may be right to some degree about some of it—but that can be said about just about any profession/realm. Tell me you don’t think that there are plenty of financial/law types with their heads up their self-satisfied butts!
Fact is there are a lot of really extraordinarily talented people out there producing really fascinating work.
“I could be looking at a blank wall and would have the same reaction.”
I’ve seen blank walls posing as art at the MOMA.

“Hm. That’s kind of sad, actually.”
Um, OK. I think it’s sad when people don’t get excited about complex spatial / numerical relationships. We all get excited about different things.
I find the math behind some art theory to be vaguely interesting.

That’s opinion, not fact.”
The ages prove me out. Good art stands.
What do you look at and see as beautiful? Women? Nature? Buildings? What draws you in and makes you think? Besides dollar signs and the law.
“Tell me you don’t think that there are plenty of financial/law types with their heads up their self-satisfied butts!”
Almost all of them.

“Nope. Dead serious. Total flatline.”
Hm. That’s kind of sad, actually.
I have a good Prado coffee table book. A good Bosch book too. They gather dust somewhere.
