Lechacal, is there an issue there with hunters? I know people in exurban houses on the edge of the woods who have to keep the kids inside during the hunting season because of idiots with guns.
I’ve often said evangelical xtians have an intellectual ceiling above which they never can rise, and that’s why I’ll never be one.
At a breakfast meeting this morning I learned the theory that the Gospel of Mark was more or less dictated by Peter, making it an eyewitness testimony from a very senior disciple.
I thought you could only double park during street sweeping when it’s safe to do so. Blocking the bike lane isn’t safe. It’s a hazard for cyclist and motorist.
I agree that there may be a “new ethos” forming regarding consumption.
Lech;
I had the same issue with the Mrs. when we were first married. She was a big collector, and attached sentiment to everything. Eventually she came to see that too much stuff can become burdensome. When we downsized to a condo 5 years ago, she enthusiastically embraced the “minimalist” look to our place.

What did I miss??? I saw some discussion about the bell curve. I could write a book about the bell curve of sexuality and weird sexual behavior.

Is that what xtians call brotherly love?”
Yes, Arkady, that is what we call it.
Do you have any other intelligent questions?
Donatella, did you see the Bstoner item about the shooting?

M4L, anyone is welcome to enjoy my land as long as they aren’t driving a motorized vehicle.
Unfortunately, there are few people who are actually interested in that sort of thing. Certain country people can be surprisingly house-bound.
