Arkady, that is very impressive. In the middle ages, you would have been a taster to the king! You know, to make sure his food was not poisoned. A very risky assignment.
I know very little about hard liquor and don’t pretend to know anything. As for beer, I know slightly more, but I couldn’t tell the difference between a Bud, PBR, Miller, Coors, etc. I tend to order Molson and Labatts when it’s available, but that’s really just for old time’s sake. I can notice differences in more exotic brews though.

I have extraordinarily refined taste buds & can differentiate among not only Pepsi & Coke but Coke whether it came from a can or bottle & whether the bottle were made of glass or plastic. The most palatable is from a 6.5 oz. glass bottle.
I’ve won major bucks from people who didn’t believe I could do this.

Cool dh, but like I said earlier this challenge can be painful the following day. Those guys I challenged at 12th St Bar and Grill were a bunch of guys in their mid 20s who were sitting at the bar expressing strong opinions on single malt scotches, and I thought it was totally fake, so I threw down. They accepted the challenge, and the next thing I know it was 4 hours later and we were still trying to figure out who was right.
some of these snow boots the ladies are wearing look as if they just jammed their feet into a pair of small hairy pooches.
