I have no idea whether or not she intended anti-semitism with the blood libel thing. Certainly she could have made the same point without using the term which is what I find so mystifying about the whole thing. Imagine how she could have undercut Obama last night if she had given the kind of empathetic statement that Obama gave. Instead, she gave the country a preview of two very different kinds of personas and approaches to politics and I don’t think the comparison is going to work out too well for Palin. Obama stepped right up to the moment and gave a wonderful speech, showing her what being a leader of an entire nation is all about. It is very different from whipping up 30% of the population.

don’t complain. planes have to land. you’re starting to sound like a typical entitled park sloper who thinks air traffic patters should be changed so their fruit can nap uninterrupted. must be contagious.
I spent 2 or 3 years living in almost daily fear that I would loose my job, and even now I get a bit nervous when my boss asks to see me.
One good thing about the years of fear is that it did great things for my savings account. I kept putting off major purchases until things settled out.
It also led to me having a lot of money in cash instead of stocks, which worked out well when the markets tanked in 08.

I grew up 2-3 miles from an airport that was open all night, so never notice plane noise in PS.
Used to love looking at the planes coming into land when I was a kid (even though I am *not* a planespotter by hobby, unlike my namesake I mentioned yesterday). We were close enough that we could see the airline markings on the tails, and it was interesting to think about all the places people had come from.
Sorry about the work situation, m4l. Sounds like you have it under control personally though. Best of luck.

Rob, I think I read something last spring about the FAA tweaking the flight routes into all 3 major airports to make things more efficient.
One of those tweaks included a landing pattern for LaGuardia that routes many planes over Prospect Park/Park slope.
UGH! ANNOYING! i kid you not there is a plane like every 5 minutes, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

“Hope you hadn’t done any 360s on them”
What does this phrase mean? I’ve never heard it before.
M4L;
I’m meeting with your homeboys (Huawei) next week.
Do a search on faa “park slope” and you can find plenty about the increase in air traffic.
It looks like the new pattern has been in place for 3+ years, and there was a flurry of complaints last February.
