  1. Liberal Press?
Looking at the different manner in which the press has portrayed and pursued the political careers of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush reveals the scope of the conservative victory. A Nexus search, for example, reveals that there were 13,641 stories about Clinton avoiding the military draft, and a mere 49 stories about Bush having his powerful father use influence to get him put at the head of the line to get into the National Guard.

  2. thanks denton,

that’s two thumbs up for Del Frisco’s
and one NVG by DIBS as stated by Arkady.
Sounds like there’s a Porterhouse with my
    name on it.
    ;o)

    bxgrl,
Again, on the Presidential flip flops,
    it wasn’t about politics,
that was under the category of
    Sartorial Blunders.

    Completely different OT category,
    try and keep up. sheesh.

  3. Etson- on one level you cold say that but on another level, the is a connection in the sense that none of this happened in a vacuum. There are a lot of factors that led up to the shooting- and it was politically motivated (though again, not in the sense of left vs. right.) in that it was an attack on a political figure.

People realize the shooter was mentally disturbed, but unfortunately the sad fact is that he became an icon of the discourse debate. And no amount of trying to disconnect the present polarization of our politics from the shooting is going to work, because no matter his motives we really do have a problem in this country.

  4. “anyone been to DelFrisco’s in Midtown?
I’ve been invited to a dinner there by a
company that makes synthetic skin grafts.”

Legion’s free dinner subsidized by the medical industry. No wonder he hates obomacare, lol…

But re DF, I have been there a few times. It’s one of those big corporate restaurants, no soul really, but not bad especially when the price is right.
