so, you are talking about Western music. I thought you were referring to creativity in Chinese people. I would say that if a musical genre is within a Chinese traditional framework, it might not appeal to us, but there are Chinese musical traditions the expression of which are very creative, i.e. Chinese opera. We might not get it and if we imitated it, you might have a bunch of people in Beijing slapping their thighs looking at us trying to do it.
That too is for the jury to decide! Get your alibi in order 🙂

All I am saying there’s a reason why American music goes a lot farther and is FAR MORE SUCCESSFUL expecially in the past 40 years on a global scale than pretty much any other nation’s music….
