  1. Legion, I hope you don’t think there is some kind of award given for having a lesser body count. Dead is dead. Those who died probably weren’t happier to know an American bomb or bullet ended their lives, as opposed to death by their own leaders and armies.

The death of the innocent, and the death of soldiers drafted into service on both sides is part of war, but is no less horrible to the human spirit, and to humanity as a whole. We should be doing all we can to make sure when we, as a nation, commit our soldiers to a fight, that it is for the best of reasons, with the most thought-filled of plans to minimize casulties on all sides, and with a clear idea of why we waged war, who we are waging war on, and how we can achieve our goals and get out. If our leadership had done that at the start of this, we would not have gone into Iraq. The national goal was to find Bin Laden, and eliminate Al Quaida. We haven’t done that yet, and probably never will.

  2. “The women I know on birth control do not seem to be any more less moody than other women.”

    Cool. What are they on?

“My wife is on birth control for hormone regulation (I had a vasectomy), and she seems to be a bit less moody when on the hormones than when not – she has gone for several months at a time off of them.”

Neutered after only one? Very green of you 🙂

  3. m4l, waverly is fringe clinton hill!
It also closes to early as I got dinner plans tonight. More concerned about my take 5 numbers as they’ve done better than my 401K over the years.

  4. “At least Stalin and Mao made no pretensions as to who they were and what they wanted”

    lol bxgrl,
so now your main argument is that the government didn’t tell you everything you wanted to hear?
did you ever see how you get the hamburger you eat?
    come on now folks,
