When I adopted, I had a Haitian boyfriend. He was very educated and sophisticated, but told me not to use a name I was considering because he once had a girlfriend with that name and she was a big believer in voodoo. Not that he believed, but he said it wasn’t worth taking a chance on it.

RF your daughter has a great name. one of those non pretentious fad like names and should last thru time. also it’s one of those names that if she hates it later on there’s a ton of nicknames for.

Dave!!! i walked an akita after school when i was a kid… his name was Mickey. I wonder if it was actually Mikki or Miki or something? the dog was kinda nasty. big, docile, and a giant furr ball, but not the nicest dog. wait, was it an akita? are the the ones with the black tongues? nevermind, im think a chowchow.
