  1. NEW YORK (Reuters) – Billy Taylor, a leading jazz musician and composer who introduced the genre to wider audiences as a TV broadcaster, teacher and booster of new talent, died Tuesday in New York of heart failure, age 89.

The Kennedy Center for the performing arts in Washington, D.C., where Taylor had been the artistic director for jazz since 1994, called him “a great statesman and ambassador for jazz throughout the world.”

  2. Rob, it’s similar to the name I used. My daughter grew into her name I think, and as much as anyone likes their name, she likes it. But she has informed me that as long as the last name of the person she marries has less than 13 letters, she’s changing hers. Ok with me!

  3. yeah, i dont know who billy taylor is. who was he? should i google him? some things im chary to google cuz i dont like it winding up in my cache. and LOL @ your haitain boyfriend telling you about voodoo. yeah, you dont mess with voodoo (that shit is real). my grandmother used to think she was into voodoo back in the day and would mail her enemies cheese (yes, actual cheese slices) with little pictures of rats and mice thrown into the envelope. freeeeeeeeeak. but im assuming the kind of voodoo he was talking about was like tribal and stuff. you have to tell us what name you were thinking tho!!!
