Oh sorry I didn’t read the lead-in posts so I didn’t realize this was a name one of the regulars was choosing. Ignore me. Carry on.
Oh and my maternal grandmother was Ruth. My cousin was named for her, Ruth Andrea. Because she was born so soon after my grandmother died (Jewish tradition; my niece was born a year after my mother died), her mother/my aunt called her Randi. When she got married she changed her name to Randi.

my grandmother’s grandaughter’s name is Mylee. i was like omg named after hannah montana miley? and they were like cuz she was smiley. shit you not. in 50 years there’s going to be a nursing home FILLED with britney’s, brittany’s, britnees, and prequeesha’s. people really are stupid with names, tho i do like white trash and ghetto names versus the yuppie shit names people name these kids these days.

My mother was Edith, and my niece was named for her. My niece is a Los Angeles hottie. She’s 26.
When I lived in Clinton Hill I knew 3 Ediths either living in the condo or moms of condo friends.
